MARSBACK ZEPHYR PRO REVIEW: A GAMING MOUSE WITH AN INTEGRATED FAN
The mouse you will hear about in this review has two peculiarities: it has a fan and is not ideal for trypophobics . Here, without further ado, the Marsback Zephyr Pro . A breath of fresh air, in every sense, in an energy-saving market for some years in terms of innovation.
It took an emerging company, little known but decidedly
courageous to try to diversify the offer with a gaming mouse currently on offer
at 50 euros . Probably a niche product, gripped moreover by the weight of being
wired but which winks with conviction to the most hardened and traditionalist
gamers.

Unboxing and design
Let's start with the packaging. A sliding parallelepiped
with an upper opening hides a mouse set inside a black foam filling. Echoes are
definitely premium and we can't wait to try it out in the field too.
The small Zephyr Pro shows up with the classic ultralight
design that has recently been enjoying some success. It is not a product for
everyone and you can guess it. As we suggested at the beginning, a trypophobic
subject may find it suitable only for horror-themed sessions.
But all of this is not just an exercise in style here. The
Voronoi-themed perforated shell that Marsback applied to his Zephyr Pro gives
it abundant air circulation: ideal for putting a fan inside and in fact the
Marsback designers didn't have it repeated twice.
The space is there but the design continues to be relatively
compact and ergonomic. The body is perfectly symmetrical , designed for claw or
palm raised grips. Moreover, the latter remains the method of choice to make
the most of the additional air flow, while it is less comfortable for users who
prefer a fully supported hand grip. In fact, there is no, which will find
themselves crawling on the surface all the time.
Being a wired mouse, we don't have a battery to worry about.
For this reason, the weight does not exceed 40 grams in total , including the
cable. A featherweight that unfortunately does not provide alternatives. No
compartments have been designed for any additional counterweights or special
customization options.
The sensor certainly needs no introduction. The Zephyr Pro
incorporates the Pixart 3389 , a very solid and appreciated sensor, with a
resolution of up to 16,000 DPI, a Polling rate of up to 1000Hz and a tracking
rate of up to 400 IPS. The cable, among other things, is covered with a
particularly soft to the touch fabric. A touch of class.
Data sheet, software and features
The distinctive element of the Zephyr Pro compared to its
first generation brother is undoubtedly the presence of a management software
available at launch.
A spartan but eloquent interface, easy to use and full of
features will allow us to set the few keys available in any way, even entire
combinations of macros on a single key , which can be managed entirely in the
relative dedicated section.
There is also the strictly proprietary lighting control
system, also absent in the first Zephyr, while in the Performance tab you can
set the resolution levels, the Polling Rate and many other parameters such as,
for example, the response time and the suspension height of the stakeout.
Daily use, feeling and performance
Without going into to much details
on the goodness of
the sensor equipped by Marsback, one of the best currently on the square, let's
try to rattle off the aspects that characterize the daily experience with this
interesting gaming mouse.
Good fan, much quieter and more efficient than the first
iteration of this technology.
A more than worthy evolution of the first Zephyr that
certainly showed the signs of its young age, with an inclination of the fan not
too favorable and a higher noise level.
Here the fan is almost imperceptible. The vibrations are
there , of course, but they are perceived only when the mouse is lifted from
the sliding surface. Cooling, on the other hand, benefits particularly from the
new flat layout and the more enveloping body.
The click feedback is satisfying , satisfies the senses and
is extremely accurate. Maybe a too long run on the left side, but nothing
annoying.
Palm dissipation is complete, especially with certain grip
styles. The feeling is not very ordinary but very pleasant .
An aspect that instead made us turn up our noses, as indeed
in all solutions with a perforated body, is represented by the amount of
impurities and dust that tends to settle inside.
An even more evident condition in this case, due to the
currents caused by the fan itself which favor the influx inside. Also in this
case, we are faced with minor problems and which, with ordinary maintenance, we
can easily get around.
Speaking of fans, when used on gaming notebooks with a vent
on the side of the mouse, as expected the fan tended to suck in the hot air,
making its main feature completely counterproductive . The cable deserves an
honorable mention . Soft and flexible, it tends to make you forget its presence
after a short time. This is perhaps its biggest plus point, especially if the
feedback comes from users who have been accustomed to using wireless solutions
exclusively for years. No need to add wire tensioner or to tug it as needed.
The Marsback Zephyr Pro cable simply disappears with use. @read more:-
